THE MAPLE SAP RUN HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 04-13-08. Chardon lost its snow plow fleet to a fire, and having more snow to deal with, the Maple Sap Festival has been postponed. The Maple Sap Run has been rescheduled to April 13th. All times and events are the same. |

Hey NERC! Wake up! It's a new year! It's time to think about training! Does
anyone need some motiviation? How about a NERC roadtrip to a spring event to
give you the boot you need to get you on on the road this winter. Here it is: The Martian Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday April 6, 2008. There is also a Meteor 10K on Saturday, April 5. No, you don't have to go to Mars to run this, it is in Dearborn, MI. The Expo and packet pick up will be held at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. GO BLUE!! Dearborn, MI is an easy drive, about 3 1/2 hours from where I live, in Chesterland. Those of us that are planning to go at this point plan to drive there Saturday morning and drive home Sunday afternoon. Of course, anyone is free to make different arrangements. The Hyatt Regency, Dearborn is the host hotel and the website lists a number of others. You can also find plenty of other options for Dearborn, MI on your favorite travel website (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz etc) Registration fees for registrations prior to March 1 are $49 for the marathon and $39 for the half marathon.
